RALI Events

Here are some RALI Events that I have held over the years.

RALI Quiz Bowl (2018) : The Quiz Bowl brought together 80+ students at Riverwood International Charter School to work together in diverse teams to answer trivia style questions. The winning team got pizza, and it was a great time. You can also check out this video for more details.

RALI Field Days (2018) : The Field Days brought together 60+ students from Riverwood International Charter School, The Lovett School, Pace Academy and an after school program at Centro Católico in Sandy Springs, Georgia to work together to win kickball games, relay races, and soccer games over the course of two days. Many of the students did not speak the same language, but were still able to work together to win. You can find more information here:

TEAMS Tutors (2019) : Through TEAMS Tutors (Together Everyone Achieves in Math and Science), I paired 60 students from introductory math and science classes with 60 student in advanced math and science classes for tutoring. The tutees received free, one-on-one tutoring and the tutors received community service hours for Beta club. It was amazing to see so many people come together for the common goal of learning.

RALI Ultimate Frisbee Game (2021) : At Camp Ramah Darom in Clayton, Georgia, the RALI Frisbee Game brought together 50+ counselors from Colombia, Mexico, Israel, and the United States to work towards the common goal of winning. We mixed up the teams so that individuals were with others who spoke different first languages and who came from different parts of the world.

RALI Spanish Table (2022) : At the Center for Jewish Life at Princeton University, students from different backgrounds come together during lunches once a week to work towards the common goal of improving their Spanish speaking skills. These Spanish Tables are run in coordination with JLats, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, and the Center for Jewish Life. Over the last two years, 50+ students have participated in these language tables.
